Big Brother cast members are chosen by the show’s producers through an application process that includes a videotape submission, semi-final interviews at select cities, and a final interview in Los Angeles. A total of 179 participants have competed, and 23 of them have competed in multiple seasons; Big Brother 7: All-Stars aired with a cast of past competitors. Of the 20 former contestants hoping to play the game during Season 7, 8 were selected by American viewers, while the show’s producers picked another 6. Jessie Godderz of Season 10 returned to participate in Season 11. Season 13 featured three “Dynamic Duos” from previous seasons: Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly, Dick and Daniele Donato, and Jeff Schroder and Jordan Lloyd. Four returning houseguests returned in Season 14 to play their own game. Janelle Pierzina, Mike “Boogie” Malin, Dan Gheesling and Britney Haynes. The youngest houseguest was Michelle Maradie of Season 4, who entered the house at age 19. The oldest houseguest was Jerry MacDonald of Season 10, who entered the house at age 75. Houseguest Elissa Slater of Season 15 is the sister of houseguest and winner Rachel Reilly.
